Alissa Schiller is a board-certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants with almost 15 years of experience. She has spent the majority of her career in Women’s Health including Breast Oncology at the University of Miami and Memorial Regional Hospital in South Florida and Gynecologic Oncology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She also spent a portion of her career in Hospitalist Medicine at the New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Medical Center in New York City.
Alissa completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Medical Science degrees at Nova Southeastern University in her hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was awarded the American Academy of Physicians Assistants Past-Presidents’ Scholarship Award and was selected to participate in the MD Anderson Cancer Center Physician Assistant Student Elective Rotation in Oncology.
As a Physician Assistant, Alissa’s passion lies in improving patients’ quality of life, as well as their health. She values the time she shares with patients, listening to their concerns and developing individualized treatment plans. She takes pride in ensuring patients’ understanding of treatment recommendations and guiding them towards active participation in their care by setting achievable goals.
